The user's ability to build in Second Life (SL) is probably the feature that sets it apart most from other virtual worlds. Creating objects or whole environments in SL is possible with the built-in building tools, which are designed so that any user can master at least the basics.

There are also classes in SL that teach building. To find a building class in SL use the Search button at the bottom of the screen and search in the category "Education."
